Cinnamon-Sugar Dessert Topping: Spiced Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 4 large apples (e.g., Granny Smith), peeled, cored, sliced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp Dessert Topping (your sweeter blend

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Toss apples with lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon; place in a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  3. In a bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, salt, melted butter and dessert topper until crumbly.

  4. Sprinkle mixture over apples.

  5. Bake 35-40 minutes until topping is golden and apples are bubbling.

  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
