Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.

Make Dough: Stir in the egg, melted butter, flour, and salt. Mix until a shaggy dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
